Thanks, been looking to try one of these and worth the risk of me not installing it at this price!

Given that these are refurbs, it might be worthwhile to ask the seller if they are unpaired. Belkin has sent out a few refurbs in the past that were still paired with someone else's account, and the switches still show up in their wemo group on the app, meaning they can turn your lights on/off. They're still manually disassociating them at Wemocares@belkin.com, but it's still a pain to have done.

No offense, but do you honestly believe whatever Belkin/Linksys rep responds to that question is going to give an accurate answer?

Looks like a good deal, but Amazon listing says neutral wire is needed (I don't have) in order for this to work. Also says Alexa won't dim lights.

This is my biggest complaint that there is not a self-service way to disassociate on your own. Even I can't get rid of my old phones that show up on the device.

For any interested there is discussion on this in the wemo forums:

I have tried. They show up in the Samsung Smartthings Labs but I haven't had any luck pairing any WeMo products with my ST.

Works with my SmartThings. I don't even remember pairing them. Maybe they showed up when I was pairing a Z wave device, but definitely working with my SmartThings now.

So did I!bounce These switches are great for controlling my ceiling fans throughout the house with Alexa. It does suck that they don't have a dimming feature, but that's why I use Lutron Caseta switches for my lights.
