DEWALT Compact Miter Saw Stand DWX724 $152.38 w/FS @ Home Depot

Posted 05-19-2017 by DocKuro at 02:23 AM
Deal expired...price 152.38. Still $20 off, just not $50. No better than Amazon now.

I saw Amazon's DEWALT deal of $20 off $100. Checking Home Depot, they just started a $25 off $100 for DEWALT on select items. Same starting price of $172.38 for the DEWALT compact miter saw stand @ Amazon and Home Depot.

I went with Home Depot. In cart, an extra 15% was taken off to my surprise. Ending up with a $122.38 checkout (http://imgur.com/a/WSY6h)

The DEWALT Heavy Duty miter saw stand DWX723 results in a similar discount. 13% off $199 and an extra $25 off $100 deal. Total = $149.00 (http://imgur.com/a/9t54Y)

Yes, I was looking at that one a couple days ago.

Lowes has a similar Hitachi rolling stand on sale for 149 as well but it has pretty bad reviews, mostly related to assembly issues.

I have a Dewalt DWX723, it's the bigger version of this stand. It's great, and very sturdy. I chose it over a rolling stand because it's much more compact for storage when not in use.

You actually can choose to get the DWX723 with the DWS780. It's the bigger version of this stand

That's how I got mine. Think they had it on sale separate for $100 at the time.

I have a rolling (ridgid). I'm assuming the nonrolling ones are more stable and better for long term set-up in a garage or worksite where as the rolling one is better for homeowners to roll out and cut some boards (perhaps the vibration/movement isn't great for fine cabinetry but it really doesn't effect most homeownder projects). Am I correct in my assumptions?

The rolling stand is much better. Solid stand, quick set up and compression, and movement.

Can't decide between rolling and heavy duty. I don't think I'll move my saw very often, but if the rolling stand makes vertical storage easy then that would be nice. Saw some reviews that the material supports on the rolling are a bit flimsy. Wish only one was on sale, would have settled the debate.

Does this come with the hardware for attaching a saw? Looking at it on Amazon I see Tool Mounting Brackets are sold separately.
