I have had this trailer for ~4 years. I bought at about the same price from Walmart. Regarding the last post, it works perfectly for me with disc brakes and a quick-release skewer. Very easy to use, in fact. The black attachment point in the picture stays on the bike permanently, so it's a one-time install. With the nylon safety strap, you just need to be aware of the brake disc and keep it out of the way. Not really a big deal.

Regarding the trailer itself, it's perfect for a single 2-3 year old. I've tried it with a 2yo and a 5yo, and it was horribly cramped. Because of the design and seating support, kids will always be pushed toward the middle (and each other - with the expected results). The "ceiling" is also pretty low, and won't be suitable for kids older than maybe 4, assuming you want them wearing a helmet. (which of course you do) It's also pretty heavy, with its steel frame, and that has been an issue for my wife on long climbs.

On the other hand, it folds pretty easily and has been very durable. When folded, and with the wheels off, it fits easily in the trunk of my Prius with the car seats in their normal position. Through 4 years of semi-regular use, everything is still intact, not much wear to speak of. The only maintenance is ensuring that the tires are aired up, as they leak down over a month or so. There's a small storage area under/behind the seat, and elastic pockets for drinks, toys, etc in the seating area.

Overall, I'd buy it again. It's a good, spacious, cheap option for a SINGLE toddler/child.

How it attaches to the bike may be bad for disc brakes or quick release skewers.

I have this similar type (InStep) on my disc brakes. No issues.

Does the steel frame support the canopy, or is it supported by a less robust material?

What I'm curious about is if my child will be somewhat surrounded by a roll cage in the event of an accident.

Looks like you get what you pay for, but this is about as cheap as a new one gets. Entry level trailer at the lower end of entry level price. That being said, you won't find too many options on craigslist for more than 15 or 20 cheaper, so if limited features works for you, there isn't a big incentive to opt for used instead of this one.

Pros: spoke wheels (vs plastic), new, cheap

Cons: sling-style seats (not bench style), no footwell (cramped legs), limited room (better suited for 1 kid vs. 2), 16" wheels (vs 20"), outboard-mounted wheels (vs. inside the frame), heavy (-er than high-end models), no jogging stroller conversion
