I am currently in the market for the Osprey Farpoint 40 and Osprey Daylite backpacks. To my surprise, I found both backpacks on Amazon cheaper than "REI's biggest sale of the year."

Amazon has the Farpoint 40 for $120.00

and the Daylite for $35.00

Depending on your state (sales tax) and how many hoops you want to jump through...

Moosejaw [] has it for $37.50 and you get $4.50 back from that Active cashback site plus $1.25 in rewards if that's worth it to you. If you want no hassle and 2 day shipping go Amazon but a little more effort might save you a few bucks with no tax and cashback/rewards.

Daylite is good, but wish there were more compartments. It just has the big inside and a single outside comparement. Have used it numerous times over 2 years.

You can also buy a water bladder to use with the pack. $35 is a good price for the pack though.

Osprey daylight looks like it's normal price is around 50 so it's pretty good deal but it appears to be more of a school backpack and casual day hiker than a technical/load stabilizing pack.
