Briggs & Riley Baseline Domestic Carry-On Exp Spinner $329 @ Amazon. Free shipping for Prime members. This is a solid deal. This piece has the new expandable "CX" system for compressing your clothes and normally retails at $519.

I've been watching this for a few months, but caved a few months ago at $425 from an eBay vendor. Briggs & Riley has the best luggage warranty in the business and it is definitely worth it if you travel a lot.

Rectangular. Believe it had writing on both sides.

This is true, carry-on are not going to see as much abuse as checked luggage. High-end luggage is not for everyone - it's like the same argument between a Corolla and a Lexus; they're both cars, they do the same things and accomplish their purpose, but one is far nicer than the other and costs more. It's up to you if you think it's worth it in the end.

For what it's worth, Briggs & Riley really do have the best warranty in industry, and that's why people often choose it over Tumi. They offer a real lifetime warranty, regardless of who you bought it from (even if you bought it used), they will fix it no questions asked. I believe Tumi has a 5 or 10 year warranty, and I think the only other manufacturer who does offer a full lifetime warranty is Eagle Creek.

Sure, even if you do travel a lot, you could buy probably 3 or 4 cheaper Samsonites or American Touristers for the same price as you would this one and that is totally fine. Some people just want to buy one thing and have it forever while others would rather treat luggage as something that's disposable and in the end, both could have spent the same amount of money and gotten the same amount of use. There's no right or wrong here, just a question of preference.

This is pretty good. I have the international wide body spinner which i bought off stp for 220 or so last year. I would probably get the 2 wheel next time though just for the extra space.

How much does it Weigh?

For International travelers this is very important. As for example Emirates & Singapore Airlines allow only 7 kg (15 lb) of carry-on item. The carry-ons are weighed at the time of check-in and also randomly by the respective airline agents in the boarding area. Amazon states that the Shipping Weight for this item is 11.7 pounds. I am sure this will include the weight of the card-board box. But all things put-together - For international travelers this may not be a good option.

The available choices for the Carry-on Bags Under 5 Lbs.can be found at this link: https://www.smartertravel.com/201...der-5-lbs/
