Was in search of S7 edge and found that Onhub is also in clearance. I already got couple of them so passed it. May be useful for some one.

Are these any better than the Asus T-Mobile router? This doesn't seem to have the external antennas.... so is coverage weaker?

They're all still $99 in my area. One store might mark them down a lot in the next day or two. Wouldn't mind trying them out for about $30 each.

Oops... All of my stores carried the TP-Link OnHub. Not the Asus ones. Think they're basically the same tho, right?

I've had both. Depends on what you're considering "better."

A single OnHub unit isn't as good as far as signal strength or throughput vs the 68U. The latter beats it pretty easily.

The advantage of the OnHub is in using multiple units to easily extend coverage (larger area/multiple floors/etc.) via mesh. In that case it may be better.

So essentially they make the task of the repeater function simpler?

I can't imagine the signal strength to without drops by using multiple units, especially when the throughput is less than the 68 u to begin with.

Cheaper on eBay with no sales tax and no dealing with people of Walmart.

Mesh is certainly better than using a repeater, especially if you run an Ethernet backhaul to each mesh unit.
