Very close to the standard i3 6100u, 9% slower

the integrated graphics of the I3 would be marginal better also.

I picked up 2 of the open box i3 versions from Best buy for 205+tax each and they are great with a fresh windows install

Not a bad deal however it's a Pentium dual core processor at 250 it's a decent deal a Slickdeals would be having this at 199 ( which is about what a laptop with these specs sell for around Black Friday).

If that is the issue. If this was a business grade laptop i would say give 7 a try but this is econo laptop, just asking for install issues.
