I'm assuming this can't be applied to existing lines.

I would definitely proceed with caution. A poster on reddit stated/alluded that it is/may be a rate/plan change. If you have existing promos of any kind, I would proceed with caution. Here's the link:
https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...e/dhza10t/

If the link doesn't work:

I contacted t-force, they states that adding the BOGO deal does a rate change, and bills it at $140 for 4 lines. The rate is charged as 2 lines at $120, 3rd and 4th at $10 each.
I currently have the one plus promo rate where I get 2 lines for $100. I also have the T-Mobile hookup discount of 20% which makes my rate $80.
If I add 2 lines, as per t-force, I would lose the plus features (unlimited HD, 10GB lte hotspot, etc....) but can add those back in for an additional $5 per line.
I originally thought I'd be paying $140 for 4 lines, 2 with plus and 2 without. Minus 20% brings it down to $112
However now, as per t-force I'll be paying $150 for the same setup. Minus 20% brings it down to $120.
I know it's not much of a difference but still...
Again, proceed with caution and get as many details from T-Mobile support about how it compares to your current plan/set up.

I did ask the rep this morning and he said that it will not change the plan and I will keep my $100 for 2 line plus kickback. Also there is an option to get one line for half the price instead of two lines. He will call me back when the promotion is effective.

You can also get sync up devise instead of a line.

Please update if/when you do the promotion how it works out. I'm basically in the same boat on the 2 for $100 one plus promo plan and considering adding more lines.

i'm not sure how its exactly 2 for the price of 1...

3 lines is 130$ whereas 4 lines is 140$.. it's still 10$ extra.. I'm on a 4gb plan with verizon and paying around 85$ for 2 lines after employee discount.. I'm paying 23 for my son's lyca mobile connection..

I was planning to switch to tmobile so that i can use the 4th line when my 2nd one needs it but if its 10$ extra not worth it..
