In my particular glass half full brain refurbished means what was bad and going to break has already broken and was replaced for me. I see less risk with refurbished than new for the most part. Only thing I ever worry about is scratches/cosmetic issues.

My 55" Samsung is refurbished. I've had it about 2 years, no problems at all. I've bought several refurb electronics. I've had more problems with new items. Some people say you're better off buying refurbished, because it has been gone through & checked out. Whereas a new one has just came off the line, without extensive testing.
If you can't afford a $1,000 & up new TV, I'd say this is a good time to buy.nod You may be missing out on the newest up-to-date features, but, if you are on a tight budget, that shouldn't matter.
If I didn't already have my 55" (& broke), I would jump on this.

Not sure why this thread is not more popular. I just got a Samsung UN65KU6290 65" 4K UHD for $599 with no tax. It's $999 + tax at Best Buy right now. Thanks OP!

Couldn't bring myself to get the $499 65" Vizio with the stupid cast only smart tv system.

The 70" Vizio is out of stock.

Look like good deals. Whats the return policy? 90 day warranty but we don't have stores locally.

Looks like you can return via mail but they do not state if you have to pay for return shipping or not. I'll probably hold onto the box for the 90 days just in case I have to send it back. That works for me since I get charged no tax.

There's a reason everyone says don't buy refurbished. If you have to have a TV right now, but one. otherwise save up and get a new one.

There's no surcharge for non-members, which is great! Fantastic deal! Now I have something to bridge the gap between now and when HDMI 2.1 TVs are available
