This is the Xbox themed version of the Kingston HyperX Cloud headset that comes highly recommended.

The headset works on PC, PS4, Xbox, Mobile & Switch.

Normally 99.99, Microsoft is selling this for 59.99

This is a good deal to coincide with the release of dolby atmos on the Xbox One. You can now get virtual surround sound from the jack on your Xbox One controller with the purchase of the Dolby Atmos app (comes with 30 day free trial). This makes higher priced headsets like Astros and high end Turtle Beach's obsolete.

This is likely the headset you want if you primarily play Xbox as it has the proper sized jack, short cord, and inline audio controls. If you need a PC headset too this probably isn't the one for you as something like the Cloud 2's would be better, and they also get down to close to this in price, and come with a USB sound card to do virtual 7.1.

Either way these are a pretty solid deal, and well timed. I'm in for a pair.

Just like on xbox, the 7.1 usb based headsets are mostly trash. You can get similar results with Razer Surround software. Good point Jojapa

PS4 players be aware!! the sound comes out really low for PS4 while connected via USB, the 7.1 is good but very low.

Bought the Cloud II's refurbished from Ebay a few months ago for $55 (up to $60 now) and have loved them. Sound not booming when plugged into ps4 controller but the 7.1 adapter has a really long cable and the headset is made to take a beating. Definitely worth it after breaking my Gold Headset from normal use

I have a turtle beach 5.1 amplifier hooked directly to my xbox thru optical and I can plug this headset in via aux into the amplifier. Should I use the amplifier with this headset or cut the amp out and get audio from the xbox controller instead?

I don't know a lot about gaming headsets, but I have a pair of Turtle Beach XO Fours. How do these compare?

Hmm. I just got a pair of the Corsair VOID cans. I know reviews say the mic levels are low, but overall comfort wise they seemed the best for $50. These were double the price so I didn't consider. Anybody have any opinion on these vs the Corsairs?

This thing is so comfortable and sounds great. I have tried many high end gaming headsets and for me the over the ear design with soft, plush comfortable ear pads. For the money you can't beat this thing and I'd easily by this over the gaming offerings from Astro and Sennheiser. This is a great product and price!
