Did Benson ever test USB C to USB C cables? I thought it was only C to A cables that had the issue that needed to be tested.

Did some quick research and it turns out you may be right!

So are C to C cables not as problem prone?

Ah shucks just purchased a few days back for $7.50. Ah well, for those wondering these work great with the new Macbooks.

I won't claim to be an electrical engineer or anything, so if someone wants to correct me please go ahead. But I believe that the issue had to do with some sort of resistor that is on the USB A to C cables that doesn't exist on the USB C to C cables? I think for the most part USB C to C cables just have the varying degrees of quality, but no major worries about electronics being fried.

But like I said, I'm not an electrical engineer, so hopefully someone else can chime in Smilie

USB C to USB C doesn't have the same issue as USB to USB C

C to C are not as problematic but because QC and PD are not standardized there still exist some inconsistencies between cables but these will mostly be less worrisome and more related to using compatible hardware pieces together

Benson does plenty of C-to-C reviews, and these are not one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ls/r...GWYK5NXWAE

Benson has reviewed a handful of Tronsmart brand giving them his blessing and passing so that is a good sign
