probably people who want this for under $1,000... won't happen but they will continue to daydream.

I'd take it for around $1,100 myself Smilie

Then go for those lapto. If you are buying an XPS for main purpose as gaming then you better check a Doctor first before buying a Laptop.

Question for OP or anyone who knows - from what I can see, about the lightest ultrabook PC with a 15.6" screen is coming in around 4.5 lbs (this one is that weight with the 97 wHr battery I think, the 720 the OP posted elsewhere is 4.4). Seems like if you want 10 hrs-ish of battery life with that screen size, the machine can't get too much lighter. Anyone have contrary examples? Don't care about 4k, but don't want a Mac. TIA!

I did, based on not a good product. The 56Whr battery sucks. Not worth buying a XPS 9560 without a 96Whr battery. Only get 3-4 hours of real world battery life on the 56Whr. Unless you absoultly need the second ssd bay, there is no reason you shouldn't get the 96Whr battery.
