Don't know if this is the deal to end all deals, but World Wide Stereo has the well reviewed Yamaha RX-V681 7.2-Channel 4K AV Receiver With WiFi/Bluetooth/MusicCast for $389.99 - 5% with Memorial Day code (SAVE5) = $370.49 and free shipping. No tax for most.

Update: Apparently only in store at this point from WWS

Never used World Wide before, so I can't comment there, but they seem okay per BBB (A+). However, if you're willing to pay a bit more, Amazon also has it for $399.99, which CCC says is low for this unit. Free shipping and tax for everybody that has a state tax now, I guess.

Here's a review from CNET for reference.

How does this compare to Onkyo TX-NR656? Can any one and jump in and provide some feedback? Thanks!

You think this is that good a deal? I placed an order for Onkyo TX-NR656 for $319.99 today. Wondering which between this Yamaha and Onkyo is a better choice. Specs wise Onkyo seems to be a better choice - more watts per channel, more HDMIs etc.,

Not sure why the thumbs down, but this is a great deal. Ww stereo is legit too, free shipping to California. Yamaha is alot better then onkyo, read up at avs.

avs reviews suggest that onkyo 656 and yamaha 681 are both good choices. Yamaha for music and onkyo for movies.

I just picked up this receiver the other day to go with my new tv. I'm loving it. Huge upgrade for me over my older Denon. I'm actually going to use this for a Citi price rewind. I bought mine and price matched Amazon @ BB when it was $419. So this will save me $30 more.

For those using it with 4k HDR content make sure when you set it up you go into advanced settings and set it to mode 1 from default mode 2. Will save you a ton of headaches.

Would this receiver be powerful enough for my PSB Image T6s? My old Pioneer is starting to die.

On Amazon this has gone from 480 to 400 in the past couple weeks alone. I've been eyeing it for a while. With new models from Yamaha just coming out not sure this is that great a deal. Likely to go even lower straight from Amazon.

It'll go down to $299 on Black Friday like all the Yamaha 6xx receivers have done the past several years.

But do you want to wait that long?

This receiver is way overkill for those speakers. You should upgrade them.

Is this receiver dual voltage and will it work in Europe where input is 220volts? Just asking as seller name says world wide.
