MicroCenter has Acer XF270HU on sale for $400

This is one of the few(maybe the only one) 27" IPS monitor that can do 23-144hz FreeSync on the market.

Because Nvidia charges manufacturers a premium to licence gysnc technology. AMDs market strategy is to include it for free in hopes of a wider adoption rate.

I am pretty sure the deal is a IPS monitor. I have it with me now. Your link is for XG.

Yep. That price looked a bit too good to be an IPS.
That is why it is a deal. It is an IPS monitor, a good one at that.

Never buy Acer monitor, I bought two of them, one is 14" and another 27", both of them die just after warranty.
I had 3 of them and no problem after 7 years. I would love to have those "just die after warranty" stuff, since my credit card give me one extra year to get a new one. Have not happen though.

Not a bad deal, I personally picked up the XB271HU last month from Costco for $499, if you are looking for G-sync over freesync you may want to check your Costco. The 271 is also 165hz which is very handy because you want to set your frame limit to under the monitor limit to get the best experience.

Answered many times... G-Sync costs extra while Freesync is provided free.

I got the Alienware desktop from FP. Should I go for this monitor or a G-Sync?
