You're absolutely wrong. You're overgeneralizing and not really accurate. Cell count varies mostly due to the type of battery. Laptops will lithium ion batteries will come with either cylindrical, prismatic, or polymer cells. You will typically see a 4-8 cells in lithium ion cylindrical or prismatic batteries. But it is not uncommon to see a 2 or 4 cell lithium polymer battery (like the Macbook Air) have very long battery life. Ultrabooks frequently use 2-4 cell LiPo batteries due to very small form factor.

A 38Whr 2-cell battery in Asus Vivobook will outlast a 30Whr 6-cell battery in a Dell Latitude. So in the real world, number of cells doesn't matter at all. Look for the battery Whr or mAh rating.

Edit: Deal just came up for ZenBook with 3-cell battery and nearly 12 hours of battery life in real world tests. You better go tell everyone that 2-3 cell batteries suck in the real world.

that would be a good laptop for gaming with the nice graphic card, but no SSD is a turn down for me.

Or this as an open box?

I wish they would just tell the WH for the batt instead of "2 cell" or "3 cell".

How does this compare to the lenovo yoga 720 (i5 processor) that was recently frontpage? Specs are similar except for processor, and this battery seems a little smaller.

FYI 940mx is a very weak card compared to current 10 series GTX cards, there are deals on 1050 laptops for lower than that price

I just got this for $540. Is the i7 and smaller screen, worth $110 trade off

Personally to me it is worth it and when I bought this it came with 2 year Costco warranty + 2 year citi bank warranty when you buy with Costco citi card. I bought it 2 months back.

This deal is for a 13" ultrabook, so you cant really compare it to a 15" gaming laptop.

But on that deal, the 940 card is very outdated. You can get a laptop with GTX 1050 for less than that. It also doesnt have a SSD.
Overall pretty bad deal.
This one just expired 2 days ago but was much better and cheaper if you are looking for a gaming laptop and not an ultrabook
