Below is the review that convinced me to buy this a few weeks back. I bought full price and Costco price matched for me today. I've been really impressed with the laptop as it's a 14" laptop in a 13" chassis. The most impressive part of the laptop has been the trackpad. It feels and functions better than the XPS 13 i have. I was thinking about returning the laptop for the Zenbook 3 Deluxe that is about to release, but with the $250 off I am keeping it.

Don't be fooled by the last gen graphics chip. This is a newly released model. Asus is using last gen dedicated cards in some of their newer laptops because of the efficiency and cooling capabilities.

the nvidia 940mx is a Maxwell based gpu and is on the verge of becoming last generation for this product category as soon as the Pascal based MX150 (announced in May 2017) hit the vendor channels

Big things to add here. This has 16gb of RAM. Also it has a 14" screen in the body for a 13.3" which is great!

I'm looking for something exactly like this. Best price I've seen with those specs. It's still a bit more than I would like to pay though.

Couple big pluses. Newest processor, edge to edge I guess, decent graphics card that doesn't used shared memory and Costco doubles the warranty. I think it's awesome just not in my price range. I'd like same chassis with 8 gigs ram, fanless m5 and no need for dedicated graphics. I'd aim for $600ish. The recent dell deal is pretty damn close to what I want.

Seams like just an OK deal. I have a simular asus. mine is about the same weight slightly smaller screen, same ram, processor, ssd but no nvidia but mine is a 2 in 1. I paid 999 last December and got 10% back since my best buy credit card was closed and needed to be reopened. It was my first asus but I really like it and would easily recommend. The nice thing with the Costco is the 4 year warranty with their credit card. I soo wanted to buy a laptop from them but they didn't have what I was looking for.

Anyone know how long a charge will last, normal use. Anything upgradeable? Great price but I hate spending that kind of cash without any chance of future tinkering..

Which is a better buy through Costco? The one posted here or the Lenovo Y520? https://www.costco.com/.product.100343180.html

Depends on what you are looking for. The Lenovo will have a larger screen and much heavier (4.4lbs to 2.9lbs). If you need portability the Zenbook is a better choice.

Unless you need to upgrade now, you might want to wait as the next gen of intel U series cpus will be qaud core with the same 15w TDP. This will be a substantial upgrade from the current dual core U series with the same 15w TDP limit.
