They claim the standard duty only holds 25lbs per drawer but if you evenly disperse it it will hold much more. I bought the Standard Duty setup at Sears around Christmas and put 3/4 inch socket sets and all sorts of heavy stuff in it, as long as you're not abusive with it it holds the weight just fine. If you're gonna slam the drawers and stuff it's one thing but if you take care of it there are no problems.

don't buy it. quality is terrible for this price. very thing metal sheet and overall very lightweight. the middle section does not have and cover as you can see from the picture. the bottom section is *not* a deep drawer but a flip-up cover door. I bought the dewalt version of this for $68 a few years ago and immediately regretted after putting it up. this same tool chest has been rebranded and has shown up on SD several times in the past.

That's a lot of storage there, I'll say... bounce

not sure about husky quality but I have 2x craftsman chest in similar price range and they are decent for the price.

Just FYI, this is the standard duty version that only holds 25lb of tools per drawer. I think it is the red Craftsman that is the heavy duty that holds 75lb per drawer. Of course at a higher price point though.

There's a $50 Groupon gift certificate for $35 available, good at K-mart. Wonder if you can leverage that with the other deals/discounts?

The red one is listed at $104. Using the coupon th eop listed I guess, we can get that one for $94.

Edit - nvm, it looks like that one is 25lbs as well but has an extra drawer and the red color does look somewhat nice

I've had my eye on this one for some time. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-.../204731413

How do these two compare? I have the husky top which feels sturdy and quality, not made of tin like some of the cabinets i've seen.

Tool chest is fine for the price, sheet metal is thin and the paint scratches easily but there is plenty of space for the average homeowner's tools.
