Downsides are that you're getting a desktop processor and the styling is pretty pedestrian.

Upside is that with a desktop processor, you can swap it out pretty easily in the future should you so desire.

This is the cheapest 1050ti laptop on the market right now. The Dell 7000 Gaming and Lenovo 510 have come close with coupons but I don't believe they beat this price.

Eluktronics has phenomenal customer service and support. I own an Eluktronics branded P650HP6, and I've had some software issues that I needed to contact them about and they always responded within a day.

30 day really isn't bad for a manufacturer's "zero dead pixel" policy. Gives you time to do a burn-in test.

On some Dell screens, you'd need 9 dark pixels to get it replaced.

(edited and replaced w/ more up to date manufacturer's policy)

For the 43% of you who have posted "Not a good price" can you please show me another 1050ti laptop under $700 currently available? I'm 100% serious as I'm in the market for one and I can't find anything better.

This seems like a pretty slick deal. Is it possible to upgrade the processor down the road, or do the two different processors use different motherboards. The other option on the website is the i7-7700 Quad Core.

can you realistically drop a 7700k or 7300k or any core i processor on here without power draw issues? i just bought the dell 7567 last week with ips 1080p, i5 7300hq, 256gb ssd, 8gb ram and 1050ti for 799. if you can really swap a high tdp processor no problem ill return the dell and save some money while getting a desktop cpu

It looks like it's rated for 65W TDP. You probably could use something bigger but the 7700K is rated for 95TDP. I assume at some point the heating would outpace the cooling and the laptop would throttle badly. Anyhow, it's on an H-class MB, so the unlocked multiplier is not something you can take advantage of. A regular 7700 would work just fine though.

Basically any sky or kaby 1151 processor will fit but the closer you get to the max TDP capability of the system, the more likely it is to throttle tanking your performance.

This is pretty awesome. Might be needing to downsize in the next few months. If I needed to do so right now, I would totally jump on this.

this is a pretty great deal esp if no tax, i don't know what people are complaining about. oh, yeah, they are ignorant. the pentium and 1050ti are basically perfect for each other. the upgrade path is also one of the best ive ever seen because this is basically a super small desktop.

if i bought this, here's what i would do (ofc doing it myself, via SDs):

1. add one more 8gb ddr4 to get dual channel mode
2. add 512gb ssd as storage 2nd drive.

you'd wind up with a really snappy, great display, very capable mobile gaming platform. there's no game you can't play with settings turned down a bit. too bad no gsync but that's ok.

I wouldn't swap the processor out, though. doing so would defeat the purpose of the build, unless it is for another low tdp cpu, maybe a newer pentium or an i5 lightweight. i still wouldn't do it.

stop trying to make lemons into apricots. make some good, really good juice or meringue and just enjoy it!

For those asking about what CPU would best fit the thermal/power envelope of this laptop - I'd recommend the i5 7400T or i7 7700T if Hyperthreading is desired. They're 35w chips and run cool. I have the aforementioned i5 in my HTPC paired with a 1050 ti LP card and I'm powering the whole thing off a 150w PIco PSU and laptop AC brick.

I can lock 120 FPS at 1440p with ultra settings in games like TF2 and CSGO with this setup. The pentium this laptop comes with should do fine at 1080p on most games that aren't CPU intensive.
