I'd rather just stick $55 in cash in my drawer and forget about it. At least when I find it later I can buy something worthwhile!

Trying to figure out why this is a bad deal and here's what I've learned:
  1. The watch OS is proprietary. It's not Android Wear.
  2. The OS seems to be dependent on the cloud so when the company goes away (like now), the watch will become useless.

On the other hand:
  1. I believe the OS is open source so maybe it can live on despite the company death.
  2. If you could flash Android Wear on that thing it would be pretty neat but doesn't seem like anyone is trying.

Anyone have more details or thoughts?

Well, it's dead now. Seems like it was a decent deal for a nice looking watch that had potential to do more than just tell time.

Actually sorry I missed it.

Thanks OP. Picked up 2 models last night. Very nice looking watches for a professional that's not looking for too many features.
