probably not. most of GPS sold in US (which do not have internet connectivity) have only US maps preloaded.

EDIT: from description
"Detailed maps of North America with free lifetime updates"

Better option is to get a cheapo android phone and install any offline map software which come with Indian map.

No I don't think so, it comes preloaded with US and Can maps and has lifetime update free...for India you might want to check with Garmin

It does work with Garmin wireless BC30 camera, other cameras you will have to check with Garmin

Garmin will be happy to sell you additional maps. Do some research to figure out which 'package' to buy, or else you will get to pay again when you want updates. And Garmin also has citynavigator maps, with similar purchase plans. LMT is good, but fell short of my expectations.

Does anyone know how this receives traffic? Most Garmins seem to integrate the receiver in to the power cable. I'd like to have one with the receiver in the unit so I can charge it with a regular dual USB charger along with my phone.

Garmin traffic data sucks compared to google maps.

The receiver is integrated with the power cable. For this model you can link it to your smart phone and get live traffic that way.

Garmin models denote with HD come with digital traffic information updated every 30 seconds with the integrated power cable, no smartphone needed. I have one and it works very well in avoiding the traffic.

Unless Garmin has changed their traffic data it's limited to major interstate and state highways. Even that data is delayed compared to google maps.

I find it useless for navigating congested traffic.

This looks really nice with slim bezels (Amazon has wrong picture) and according to the spec, the resolution is pretty high too. I wonder why they dumbed the $150 5" model so much with thick bezel and crap resolution.
