No store pickup available (in my area at least) and shipping is $5.49, which probably kills the deal for most.

However, given that this is the FreedomPop GLOBAL SIM (different from their LTE SIM), which has been unavailable to order for some time and people speculating that it may be discontinued, it may be worth paying the price for anyone who was hoping to get a Global SIM but hasn't yet found one. You can alternatively buy the Global SIM on Amazon for $10.

If you just need a SIM for use in the United States, stick with the currently available LTE SIM. This one works in the US, but is more geared for being able to get free data in Europe as well.

2? Try 20. Wink

Beware. Others have reported and I can confirm that if you let these sit unused that your number will get recycled by FP.

Can't believe bestbuy is now working with these scammers. This will be the beginning of Bestbuy's downfall

Sweet!!! Buy 35 for free shipping and profit!

It works just fine in the US. I get 5MB+ download speeds. Which in the reception whole I live in is pretty darn good.

What's your beef with FP? I've had my hot spot for years and this sim for a few weeks and have yet to really encounter anything "scammy". Yes - there are a lot of add-ons but that's the nature of running a discount shop like this. FP is the Spirit Airlines of mobile service plans. Just gotta know what you're getting yourself into.

I've had a phone from them for two years with no scam. Always be sure to turn off the premium stuff before the first month is gone. Service is not awesome but really what do you expect?

I've gotten so much value from FreedomPop over the years and put a lot of relatives on their service as well. I have yet to find a scam. I was once mischarged for a premium service which I had removed before the free period. They promptly refunded it. No scam here in my opinion. If you can't be bothered to read the medium print and follow well published instructions to get the totally free service, then you shouldn't but this. Leave FP to the rest of us.

Except Best Buy has a 5 per order limit. You won't be getting 35 in one go.
