Best price I've seen on this without a rebate. Good monitor, I'm happy with mine.

Adorama through Newegg.

Wouldnt touch that with a 10 foot pole, not sold by newegg. Deal a week ago was much better with dell 100 dollar gift card and 50 dollar slick deals rebate.

Like 10% of this 3rd party seller's reviews are 1 star.

Can't price match it with Dell because its a "marketplace" seller.

I still really don't understand why these are considered slick deals when you can get the 4k version for just $10+. Can someone please help me understand? Lol

Maybe 144hz+ and Gsync (which costs a premium), not sure didn't do research.

Sure since you asked nicely. This monitor has 1440p @ 144Hz (165Hz with overclock), G-Sync, quick response time, and a clean look as a bonus. This pretty much checks all the boxes for gaming (except it has a TN panel) , so it is a niche product. I am guessing you would probably not benefit from this monitor if you had to ask, but I would like to point out that a 4K version of this monitor would definitely not be just $10 more. We are not there yet.

As with digital cameras, pixel count is but one factor in determining the quality of a monitor. You also need to consider size, picture quality, OSD design, form factor, refresh rate, and response time.

Consider also this: what do you have in your computer? Bear in mind that a kaby lake i7 with a gtx 1080ti still can't quite maintain 144fps solid in AAA titles (ultra settings) like Rise of the Tomb Raider or Ghost Recon: Wildlands .... at 1080p!!

So at 4k... even with a top tier system, users will rarely get more than 60fps. most will be lucky to hover between 35-55 fps.

and this is why prices are the way they are - different users' needs. a gamer may want a 1080p 144hz display with 1ms gtg so that he can keep 144fps rock solid. a movie watcher may want 4k ips @ 30fps.

Best Buy had the 27 inch for $100 more. I was tempted to buy that but didn't still stuck with my 4k IPS 60Hz monitor.
