These things should be free if they result in an Amazon order.

I'd hold off and see if they offer any deals on Prime Day.

Perhaps so, but I'm not complaining if AMZN wants to incentivize them by giving me a couple bucks for placing an order. Profit is better than free!

Hmm, I added 4 different $2.99 ones to my cart and proceeded to checkout and it let me. I guess there's no limit or risk with that. However, when I tried increasing one of the dash quantities to more than 1, I got a warning message "This seller has a limit of 1 per customer." nod

Yeah, basically profit off the first use. Smilie

I'm sure they will discount more dash buttons on prime day too, but promo may not be around then.

I guess Amazon could cancel the order? Roll the dice, you only live once Smilie

I'm still trying to get my asus router to intercept the dash button so I can remap it for another use (extra garage door remote for around the house comes to mind) but none of the scripts I can find to run on a router seem to work with MINE unless I want to install tomato or dd-wrt. (currently on merlin).

Exactly. Don't use them and see what happens.

So I got mine to work on Merlin. It took a little bit. My whole reason for doing it was to connect a dash button to IFTTT and then to my Wemo Smart Outlet. It is working now. I had to use multiple websites to figure it out though. Here are some of the links that helped me. You have to adjust some of the configurations to Merlin though.

I used this to find the MAC address of the button. This is by far the easiest way to do it.

This one I used to for the majority of the setup. However, you have to change the code to make it work with Merlin. Look at the comments at the end of post for help in what to change.

Finally, this site helps you add the custom line to the DNSMasq option in Merlin.

I hope all of this helps! If not, shoot me a message and I will see if I can help.
