"(b) The Total Wireless Handset must have been activated on Total Wireless Service for no fewer than 12 months with Service Plans redeemed in no fewer than 12 months."

It can be unlocked after 1 year of continuous use on total wireless only. No eBay or other unlocking services can do it. Some people report being able to use some total wireless phones on other tracfone services like straight talk, cuz they're all the same company.

It isn't on total wireless' website at the moment but I swear it was up until last night. When or if it comes back in stock, you can get this 32gb iPhone 6 + $35 one month refill card for $199.98 using a coupon on sd (total15). The $35 plan is for unlimited talk, texts and 5gb data. If you let that one run out and then activate a new account in walmart stores, they give you 6gb instead of 5 every month. They use Verizon towers. The phone is definitely locked to total wireless and maybe some other tracfone services. Don't expect to get it unlocked before using it for a year with them.

Thanks for the info. Changing over to total wireless in a few days when my Verizon contract ends. Does the $35 walmart plan have to be activated in store? Also, after can you sign up for the auto pay discount and still get the 6gb?

Haven't done it myself yet but been strongly thinking about making the move. It's down to Total Wireless or Mint SIM for me.

Might be available online too I think, but for peace of mind, I'd probably do it in store personally. Somebody made a post about it https://slickdeals.net/f/10212796

Just a FYI... I have been on the 5gb plan and auto refill, I bought the 6gb card and loaded it into reserve.

At renewal my plan changed to 6gb and my autopay is still intact, so I assume next cycle it will autopay 6gb and not change the plan back... I don't see why it would.

2 weeks till my renewal

Why is this not a good deal, even if it is locked to Total?

I'm with you, locked for 12 months with a reasonably priced carrier on Verizon's network? Big deal. Digging through these cell deals, people seems to get vicious about these plans and phones, especially when they can't use them with whom they want, even if the price is great because of that simple detail.

Question is, how long do you have to use the Prepaid plan, if what you want to do is use this phone on your existing Verizon plan? Much better price than any iPhone 6 I've seen.
