not bad, they had an owners deal going until last week for $480. go through chat and see if they'll give you the 4th for free (that's not included in the absolute box). i think there's a storage bag you can get.

I just went through chat and got this for $499, 4 free tools, no tax, free shipping. I'd considered the refurb on eBay a couple of weeks ago (20% off), but am glad I waited. The 2 year warranty on a new vacuum feels better since it's got a battery.

Yes, confirmed with the online chat that the Iron/Nickel is on sale but only gives you 2 free tools. However, the original price $599 one gives you three free tools. They can still give you 20% off if you previously own a Dyson product. $599 * .8 = $480 plus tax. So go with the $599 one if you previously own a Dyson product.

What are the additional free tools you got?

Dyson sells V6 certified refurbished via their eBay account for $180 quite often. Is V8 really that much better that people ready to spend almost 3 times more on it?

If you already own a Dyson you can get 20% of the MSRP ($599 - $120), which is $480. And they'll throw in the 3 free tools also. Just did that via chat.

Apparently according to reviews, yes, it really is worth it. Much more powerful.

Same. Dyson chat rep said the nickel color was 449 and the yellow was 479 and going through online chat had a bonus 4th tool thrown in. The rep actually picked out my tools and one I asked about was not included. He said he would take care of it after the order and sure enough I got a 2nd email about another order for just that tool at $0
