This is by far and away the cheapest for a decent pcie ssd. This is not sata speed nvme.

Even compared to SATA ssd prices this is cheaper than some of the deals as of late

256gb is 32.5 cents/gb
512gb is 28.5 cents/gb

Promo code "speedboost"

Recently just bought a crucial mx300 for a little better price/gb but if this was in stock then, I would have done this.

Saying that, for VAST MAJORITY people the real world difference between pcie nvme and sata 3 is hard to detect. But seing how prices of SSD drives are currently. This is a no brain IMO

It's not "too slow" but you're also not going to see 2050mbps either:

For the price, this would be a good upgrade for a cheap laptop with an NVME slot.

I don't know what that graph is but i have a 960Evo 250GB and i for sure don't get around 300-400Mbps, I get around 3000Mbps so i wouldn't trust that article

Note that their results are in MBps, not mbps.

https://www.amazon.com/Black-512G...ternal+ssd

check customer images on the page

people have gotten:

360-3300 read
281 - 2000 write

im guessing some of those were outliers (having a sata speed m.2 slot or etc), but the majority of people have gotten around

1900 read
800 write

You are either wrong or you dont know what you are talking about. There is zero chance you have ever seen 3000 MBps on a mixed workload benchmark.

In the future you should look at what the benchmark is testing before you claim it is wrong.

It gets great reviews on NewEgg, 4 egg is currently the lowest. Sure it's going to be "slower" than the 960s, but it's cheaper and still beats out any SATA SSD. Unfortunately the promo code does not work for me.
