Also I have activated a Tribute HD that is not mentioned at all on the list.
In actual fact you can activate almost any Sprint phone (unless financed or discounted or prepaid).
There are no special restrictions built into the checker for this offer other than it must be true BYOD and not financed or discounted or prepaid. They are just trying to describe what models will activate on their standard activation engine. They explain that lower down. The list is just their standard BYOD guidance list (usually slightly out of date).
You can call them and they should be able to confirm that. Only call the number given in the wiki.
Going to buy a cert iphone 7. Qualified phone list It says verizon only..... can I buy an unlocked 1660 which is what it says vzw and sprint use? Then go to walmart buy a prepaid card to get my number.....and then order sprint sim and change it over?
If this wasnt at least 720 of savings I woul not ask...or even keep trying.
But it is.
Thanks again.

I had to look specially to find a non-prepaid Tribute HD. I got one on EBay for $30.
My prepaid Tribute HD's were NOT accepted.
Second even Postpaid Tribute HD's are ineligible if they have recently been on an MVNO until you have the ownership flag changed from PLBL to SPCS.
So your Tribute HD is one of those two - probably it is Prepaid (Boost or Sprint Prepaid) in which case it cannot be activated.
But to answer your question, yes once I got my hands on a genuine used POSTPAID-origin Tribute HD, it did show eligible right away on the web site without doing anything special and I activated it (although I did the actual activation by phone).
So have many others.
BUT they must be postpaid models ONLY and be fully paid off and not recently bought at a Sprint-sponsored discount or Sprint special offer etc. And, if they have been on an MVNO, you will have to get the ownership field changed from PLBL to SPCS (see other threads).
Then they will pass the web check.

I have activated two different Sprint branded phones on this offer with no problem.
