Worked for me, I received a postcard in the mail and signed up online. IIRC, the bonus was in the account around the 90 day mark, maybe a week later.

Thanks. I missed the last offer and came across this post. I didn't get a post card like last time, but i guess on the website i can get a code emailed and that should work.

Did you sign up for the Simple Right Checking? Are the fees waived?

Yes, simply right checking account. Fees were waived for the first 45-60 days (read the T&C), but it's super easy to avoid fees with this offer. Just one transaction per month, debit card purchase, deposit, withdraw, etc. I setup an automatic $1 pull followed by a $1 push 5 days later, monthly from my primary account for the next 360 months.

Decided to keep the account open after receiving the $225, and use it for PayPal and Venmo since I'm not 100% comfortable linking those to my primary bank account.

I signed up for the last offer as well. Just checked my account and it posted the bonus yesterday. Yay. I forgot to sign up for paperless documents so they deducted $3 from the account. Boo.

By direct deposits, does that mean it has to be periodic payments or a one time $500 transfer? Never done this before. Any help would be appreciative!

I did it last time. It took weeks for the account to get set up, but once it was opened I got my $225 around 3 months later. No hidden fees, worth it if you can easily switch your direct deposit to hit the $500 requirement.

I'm curious, how did you sign up for the last offer as well. According to the invitation I received the fine-print says you can't have had an account opened within a year. Was it over a year ago?

I signed up on 3/10/17. Bonus hit my account on 6/9/17. Did not have a previous Santander account. Hell I'd never heard of them before.
