Huawei - Refurbished Mate 9 4G LTE 64GB 5.9" Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Space Gray- $379.99 at Best Buy, free shipping or store pick-up (other color Moonlight Silver available for store pick-up only)

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/huawe...Id=5786015

(Sells for $599 new. previously was $100 more at $479.99 for this same refurb unit. What sold me on this unit was dual-SIM support with (I think) 4g+2/3g, dual standby, and a large number of LTE bands. I will be traveling in China, and this has the added China LTE bands that many phones dont (39/41 etc)).

Alternatively, can buy new from Gearbest for $489 via deal posted yesterday here.

Product Features

Octa-core 2.4GHz processor with 4GB of RAM

4G LTE Band 1, 12, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, 26, 28, 29, 3, 38, 39, 4, 40, 41, 5, 7, 8

5.9" IPS touch screen

Dual-lens camera co-engineered with Leica
Features a 12MP RGB sensor and 20MP monochrome sensor

Dual SIM card design

Fingerprint reader keeps your phone secure

*This phone will not work with Sprint, Verizon, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile or any other CDMA network.

I replaced Nexus 6P with Mate 9. No more charging 3 times a day. Fingerprint reader is superfast, camera is great, screen is bright. Can't complain. Custom OS is not an issue for me.

I don't think it's Huawei fault you have to pay for tethering with AT&T. My wife had Cricket on Nexus 5X and hotspot was disabled as well (phone fully supports it). I don't have any problem with Mate 9 and T-Mobile using their hotspot feature.

Is it at&t two sim compatible? meaning one sim on 4g second Sim on 3g NOT 2G!!!

This fact should be clearly advertised in 2 sim phones.

I've sent my Nexus 6p in several times. Still having issues and warranty is officially up. I got from Newegg, so google not directly helping and had me deal with Huawei. I wonder if Huawei would be willing to send me a completely different phone??? Smilie
Else hoping for money and can just buy any phone.
Did Huawei make anything equivalent to the 6P. Upon looking at screen size 5.7, resolution WQHD (2560 by 1440 pixels), and USBC/fingerprint sensor, I am not seeing anything similar?

EDIT: also want full compatibility with AT&T (Straight Talk)

tl:dr is any Huawei phone comparable to the nexus 6p? This one seems close.
This has a larger, nicer, brighter screen than 6P. Also has a pretty good stereo speakers. Bigger battery. Expandable memory. Also has a very versatile camera.

The software is completely different from stock android. So that's the biggest compromise. I did however, enjoy EMUI. But don't expect fast software updates.
