This is quite nice for the price. Good specs, very good looking, and a 2-in-1. Just a side note: the screen is pretty glossy and reflective.

how does one receive the edu code? I just registered using my Gmail but or on the birthday and school info. I've been checking my inbox for 15 min. should I just be patient?

Believe it only works with an email address that ends in EDU.

Following OPs directions, I signed up on Best Buy, gave them my alma mater I graduated from 23 years ago, and they sent me a usable code. NO EDU email required.

Thanks OP, just what I needed.

Can anyone provide feedback on the right Shift button? From the pictures it looks 1/2 the size of a normal shift button.

I'm deciding between this for or a Dell XPS 9560 (i3, 5400 HDD, no touchscreen) for $650.

My concerns are the build quality of the Lenovo vs the Dell and the Shift key. Everything seems to be the same or better in favor of the Lenovo.

Any reviews from people who have this model?

I tried one of these in the i7 version. Great laptop except for the keyboard layout. You can re-map the shift and up arrow key to make it better but between that issue, needing the Fn key for any of the F1 thru F12 functions, and missing dedicated number pad, I returned it. I have a 4 year old Lenovo refurb that has been great but the screen res is a bit low end on mine. (1366x768)
