I was looking for a Hotspot and found this gem. A NET10 (on AT&T) Hotspot with 5GB of Data (total and not per month) and 1 Year of Service for only $15.79 and free Prime Shipping.

The bullet point shows 500MB of Data and 14 Days of Service but I bought it and it does indeed have 5GB/1Year. This is the same item offered through the Shopping Channel for a fifth of the price.

Specs:
5GB of Data (total and not per month) and 1 Year of Service
4G LTE/Wi-Fi connectivity
Enjoy no-contract internet connection
Connect up to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices

You have had this for over 14 days and still working? After the year is up, would this be unlockable? it says 500mb not 5gb? is the link right?

Yeah, when I loaded it it came up with 5gb and 1 year.. Also the content below the fold (image) also states 5gb.. The title and bullet point is incorrect.

I am not sure about the unlockable part.

Interesting. To refill it, a 5 GB card costs $50 dollars.

I would just go with a FreedomPop hotspot. 1 GB per month for free. $29 to buy hotspot. freedompop.com

Did the package it came in indicate only 500MB and 14 days? And when you loaded it, you got 5GB?

Unit has terrible reviews. And refills are pricey. Could be a burner I guess but meh.

Same question here. I ordered it and it arrived today. The package (including the inside flap) shows 500 MB, not 5GB. I'm leery about activating and it only being 500 MB instead of 5 GB...

I was hesitant, too, but I did end up activating. It does, in fact, credit 5GB and one year to your account.

So it would be 3.5x cheaper to buy additional hotspots and use their sim than to buy the $50 refill cards. Kinda like the old inkjet printer days. The cartridge is empty? Buy another printer.

In for one... $3 a gig isn't bad for emergency use... Thought about FreedomPop but for my use this seemed like a better deal...

Funny thing is I've spent hundreds of dollars at Starbucks "because I needed to get wifi" and decided to buy a drink too but I hesitated to pay $15 for this. Funny how some decisions are totally discretionary while others you overthink!
