Looks like it has been this price before and gone frontpage. Needed a new TV after mine went out and looked like a good deal for a non smart tv.

I have the TV: it's only $20 more and offers

HDR, More USB Ports, and Android TV as an OS (which would cost like $70 by itself if you opted to get a MiBox)

The picture quality is great: I have it set to Vivid and tweaked a few settings like removing motion, reducing sharpness and such.

Seriously, it looks amazing and I tried it with 4K and HDR content along with local 4K Movie Content. The Android TV integration also works great, you can integrate the live channel's app with an Antenna or HD Homerun and ditch cable.

Not to mention native TV-Optimized apps like Plex, Kodi, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, et all.

The TV has 32GB of storage, 802.11 AC WiFi, and a speedy processor, and the start-up time is nearly instant. Whether it's from turning on the TV via remote or casting a video from YouTube or any media app, it's amazing.

Also, the design is extremely high-end, I was scared just taking the TV out of the box! It's thin, svelte, and gorgeous with really thin bezels. I opted to wall mount mine with a $25 Amazon Basics mount that can turn in all direction, and it's a great experience. I pull it out for close range viewing, recess it to the wall when not in use and it's aesthetic makes it look like a painting on the wall.

As for media display, I use the Aerial Daydream app to mimic the animated screensaver from the Apple TV and use Kodi to view family pictures from my NAS. Pictures look amazing on the 4K screen, and the UI and apps are responsive due to its specs.

The only con is the speakers, they're not that great, But you can pass through audio if you have a soundbar/Home theater either through Toslink or HDMI to direct-play your local media files through Plex/VLC/Kodi.

Seriously, this TV is a great bang for your buck as it was like $900 when it came out just last year!

Just get a $30 Costco Square Trade warranty if you're scared, and there's nothing to lose

They're there. It looks like a huge VESA pattern 600x400 or something.

Confirmed 600x400. Damn my guesses are good.

I got into the in depth settings (Menu + 7343) and went to sound settings, then volume curve and made adjustments.
The TV volume has a range of 0-100 and prior to doing this the TV went from soft to distorted in 1-10.

100-1050

I changed my mapping to
0-500
10-600
20-700
30-735
40-770
50-805
60-840
70-855
80-870
90-885
100-900

Now I have less volume (who uses the TV with volume pegged at 100?), but it's way less distorted.

I have had my 65" scepter for a few weeks now. After getting the horrible sounding speakers to a point where they are passable, I LOVE my new TV. It's been great and looks great!

How does this TV compare to the Proscan 55" at Walmart that was a frontpage deal a few weeks back?

How much was this if you dont mind me asking? I'm looking for a cheapish 65 4K to put up behind my projector.

This TV has been listed at this price for nearly a month+ (I know because I bought it about a month ago). So it isn't really that slick of a deal. That being said I love the TV. Nice and huge and the 4k looks great for the few apps that support it. Never had to deal with the bad speakers though since I already had a good soundbar. With that being said unless you got cash to spend on a "premium" 4k tv this should be what you get.

P.S. it isn't a smart TV but I prefer it that way.

I paid $529. It's gone up to $600 since then.

Would this be a good tv for gaming like when the xbox one x comes out? I heard the TV needs to have HDR which I'm guessing this doesn't have considering the price. Also the refresh rate is only 60 and I though you would want 120 for gaming.
