Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ T-Mobile BOGO

http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/...activation

Rebate within 8 weeks after activation on Samsung.com with T-Mobile on Original Payment Method.

Active device within 14 days of purchase

This is different than T-Mobile BOGO as no mentioned about specific plan actication or New line, also rebate comes in original payment method.

Looks like this time S8+ is for $790 and rebate is for lower priced device means getting $790 for S8+.

Some calculation:

2 Galaxy S8 Plus - $1580
7% Tax - $ 110.60 (Approx)
______________________________
Total $1690.60
Rebate. $790

2 S8 Plus cost. $900.60

*Activation on exisitng T-Mobile Postpaid line

*Rebate on Lower priced device $790

DON'T FORGET DISCOVER CASHBACK 10%. Although Terms claim exclusion for "phones", it doesn't hurt to try.

Can I return my new device if I decide to do that?
We're sure you'll love your new Galaxy Smartphones but, just in case, our normal return policy generally applies with the exception that in order to return your devices obtained through this Buy One Get One Free Promotion, you must return both new Galaxy devices in their unopened boxes.
If you only return one new Galaxy device but not the second Galaxy device, you will not qualify for a return or refund of either device.

Use corporate perk or perks at work and save $110 on 2 Samsung S8.

Linh to PREVIOUS SIMILAR DEAL. there are a lot of good info in that wiki.

From wordstew:

1. Just got off the phone with Samsung...you do not have to open a new Tmobile line you only have to activate an existing Tmobile line on the new SIM on the new phone. In effect you are just porting your existing number and plan to the new SIM. (no new plan needed)

2. They require the port to the new SIM in order for your phone and your account be registered and recognized for the rebate.

3. You only have to do this with one phone so the second phone you can just slip in your old Tmobile SIM and use it straight away without doing anything else.

4. You could sell/keep or use the 2nd phone as a paper weight or anything else you want to do with it so long as you activate one phone through their process.

5. If you get the "Invalid Credentials" error message call this number 1-866-265-4504 give them the IMIE number and the new SIM number of the new phone you are activating for the rebate...no need to do both phones.

6. Samsung has indicated some sort of an issue with the activation that's why most if not all are getting the "invalid credentials' message

7. If you call and give them the your info they are telling people you will be activated or receive a response within 48 hours.

8.Have your order # and the new phone and SIM info ready when you call they will need it to log your credentials issue...... GOOD LUCK

For those of you having trouble activating, the online interface worked just fine for me. Here's what I did:

1. Go to samsung.com/myaccount
2. Scroll down to your two phones, select "Carrier Activation" for one of the phones
3. Type in the phone number of your existing number that you want to port to the new phone & new SIM.
4. Type in the last four digits of the SSN of the primary account holder (I was typing the last four digits of MY SSN, I'm not the primary account holder, which is why I was getting the same error message other people were)
5. Type in the billing zip code of the primary account holder
6. Follow all the steps, eventually you should get a carrier approved message.
7. In that same message page, scroll down to click the button to activate your phone
8. Insert your new SIM card into the new phone
9. Type in the IMEI and SIM numbers (on the box of the respective SIM and phone)

Within a couple minutes, my old SIM stopped functioning and the new one started working. Installing updates to my S8+ as we speak. Checking my bank account to see if that rebate has started yet

Monthly postpaid voice & data plan activation required on T-Mobile network on at least one of the two devices being purchased. Activation must be completed through Samsung.com.

Can the activation replace an existing tmobile phone already on an account or does it have to be a new line of service?
