Amazon Marvel Graphic Novel (Kindle) Free after Promo Price Mistake

+147 Deal Score
30,761 Views
Promo is ending tonight at midnight PST, but you have until the end of the month to actually redeem the promo credit. You must have a Kindle app (or device) linked to your Amazon account to redeem this offer. If you don't have a phone or a tablet, you can download the app for the PC. Just login once on the Kindle app to link.

Short version: When you buy a graphic novel, you get an account credit good for a free digital Marvel graphic novel. It is supposed to require a physical purchase, but it works on digital purchases and it also works on free ($0.00) purchases.

Step 1: Purchase this free Doctor Who comic book:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YP3ZAS0/

Step 2: Wait two hours for the promo email to appear in your email.

Step 3: Purchase one of the following 100 Marvel Graphic Novels from the Kindle Store and it will be free after the automatic promo credit:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_p...6584548011

Enjoy. Smilie

1) Is the deal over?
According to the terms, the issuing of promo codes is over, but people in the thread have reported that it is still working, so if you haven't yet "bought" the free comic in step one, do it.
If your promo code has already been issued, you have until the end of the month to use it.

2) Can I gift the purchase?
Yes, you can gift it.

3) Why do some people say it doesn't work for them?
The offer is only valid once per account. If the benefit has already been issued to your account in recent weeks, you can't get it again.

4) How do I know the promo credit is on my account?
You can't view it directly. Amazon will email you a notice, but otherwise it is yet another one of those Amazon auto apply things.

When did comic books turn into "graphic novels"
When they collect a run of single issues into complete story. Usually about at least 6 issues.

The 70s? Graphic novel usually refers to a collection of issues, usually in a story arc, as opposed to a single serialized issue.

The term is used so you don't feel like a complete nerd. Because when you say to someone: "I read comic books" the natural reaction is to say it in a depressing tone. Also, women don't want men who read comic books, but if you say I have a "graphic novel" collection you can confuse them. The trick is to lock them into a marriage before they find out. laugh out loud

When I got the email back on 6/2 it said you have until 7/1 to use it. Probably stop issuing the code at midnight PT.

Ahhh, ok! I now see it in the OP too. I missed that info. Good looks bro. You have about an hour and a half still to get the promo still.

I believe technically a graphic novel is one story and when you get the collected issues in one book it's a trade paperback. Not to get all comic nerdy or anything Smilie
