ebay coupon PSUMMER20 (through June 20.) Dysonoutlet as seller qualifies, current price on v6 absolute cordless stick vacuum (refurb) is $249. After coupon $199 shipped. Comes with soft roller head (upgrade from v6 motorhead/animal versions.) My experience with this vacuum, with 3 little kids and a dog, has been awesome. 6 month warranty on refurb, additional with certain credit cards.

Haha, I was just about to post this.
Bought this back in February...this SD is $10 less.

The battery lasts a pretty long time if you are using it for the "in-between" cleanings...such as right after guests leave, or when you notice a few crumbs on your carpet.

The soft attachment is pretty useless for me, even on hardwood. I just use the brush on everything and it does the job.

any way to get an extended warranty on this? 6 months is nice, but at least a year would be nicer for a 200+ vacuum. Looking at the V8 Animal for $299 after coupon.

I used a Cap one visa and since it is refurbished and sold by the manufacturer, it increased the warranty to 2 years if I recall correctly...so check your cc issuer because that's the easiest way.

V8 gives you more battery life I think - v6 is ok for me, I can do a quick clean of my bottom floor on less than one charge, which is what I wanted it for (maybe 2900 sq ft total, so like 1500 sq ft?) I didn't use the soft roller head that comes with the absolute for months, and then I did out of curiosity and it was awesome at larger pieces of debris. Regular direct drives works pretty well on hardwood (maybe doesn't suck up the odd cheerio on first pass) and good on carpet, area rugs.

My SW Visa Signature says it does not cover used or pre-owned items. I don't know if that also blanket covers refurbished.

My AMEX I think will only provide 6 months, matching the 6 months provided here.

Any idea why there's sales tax in CA if the item is shipping from New York?

I don't know if it varies between cards but I bought mine with a capital one spark visa and specifically asked - they said if it was refurbished and sold by the original manufacturer it qualified - I can't remember the terms but it seems like it was a decent amount of time, like an extra year or year and a half on top of the 6 months for refurb

CA charges tax on everything you buy doesn't matter where item is from for most major chains

such is life in CA. I believe the following states will have tax:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, the state of Washington and Wisconsin.

from their website.

The code PSUMMER20 didn't work for me. It says: "This code can't be applied to your order."

their feedback is a little scary how can a big seller like that have 94.7% positive. But I ordered anyway. Ebay is good about helping with problems within the first 30 days (only). And yes, i got dinged for tax too in Washington.
