Been using this on a 5 year old XPC setup recently.
It has been great, runs DOTA2 max setting 60fps at 1080p.

It idles at 30-35 'C, and max at 55 'C in the super tight XPC box.

Just snagged one for my arcade! It runs a SFF i5 system, so this was perfect to replace the 770 that was in there prior. Good find!

Bought this card about two months ago for $125 to replace an old, failing Radeon 7870 and it's been great for what I play (SC2, LOL, L4D2, etc -- not much cutting edge or Crysis). The 10-series is super impressive considering price / performance / power consumption / size ratios.

I did need to flash my BIOS because I was 13 releases behind and the new card was preventing boot. But after jumping that hurdle it's been smooth sailing.

Is this overkill for general web browsing, video streaming, and dual monitors?

Yes. It would be an overkill. You can consider the 2Gb version of GTX 1050, or lower.

Just out of cursorily, does anyone know if this will run four monitors for regular desktop/productivity? Newegg's spec sheet lists it as supporting three, but I'm wondering if that's just because it has three outputs. I know the single DisplayPort supports two displays with daisy chaining.

Just picked one of these up at microcenter for $130 including tax after rebate.
This is a slightly better deal but not worth the drive to return. Also not sure if you get the free game from Walmart or not so maybe my deal was slightly better. The game is amusing and I might get $5 worth of enjoyment out of it.

I like mine so far... nice and quiet, small, not much heat and plenty powerful for my needs.

The GTX 670 (2GB Mini) I had just died 2 months after it's warranty expired.
I'm pretty sure this GTX 1050 Ti will be a good replacement even at nearly half the price I paid for my old card when it was brand new 3 years ago ($199).
Got one.

Thanks!

EDIT: Quick note, the discount does apply before tax if anyone was wondering.

Same. I'm on a 7850, and just bought a new monitor 144hz gsync. 7850 doesn't have display ports, and the monitor requires display port to get higher refresh rates! Buying this to hold me over until Volta!

How much of an improvement is this over your 7870?
