It's Father's day and I haven't seen many Sears Craftsman deals this year vs previous. Desperate times for Sears?

I don't think the battery is included. I checked the page, and yes, it says the battery is included, but I think that is an ERROR on the page.

They could have changed things, of course, but not likely. The ones of these I have bought in the past do not have the battery included, and it says so on the back of the package.

Not until they clean up their online ordering act. Why i have to drive to a store to cancel a 3 month old pickup order in 2017 is beyond me..

I use those HF multimeters for simple 12v or continuity readings and they work great! The unit itself works fine but the leads are built with no stress relief and really don't last that long. I feel bad for those who actually buy them with the intention of using them regularly. With that said I a keep one in my glovebox just in case

I just came from a larger Sears and it was rather depressing how sparse the shelves were. They completely eliminated the electronics section at that store now (no more TVs). RIP Sears.

Good deal but I need one that also measures capacitance (uF).
Is that a useful feature for your average homeowner? I'm trying to decide if I should get this...

Not particularly, the most likely capacitor you'd check would be an air conditioning run cap and if you discharge it carefully with a screwdriver across the terminals and then pop a continuity test on the impedance will rise rapidly as the cap recharges. This is a decidedly cheap and little meter, but it works pretty well. I blew a fuse in my big Fluke made craftsman and ironically bought this meter in the interim and used it to figure out the blown fuse was the problem with the other meter, lol

I bought one a few weeks ago and the battery was NOT included.
