These are great in tight places, but you need to be careful, i actually used one to tighten a bolt and then could not get the wrench off, and there's no way to back out the bolt because there is no reverse on these, that was a bad day.

For your typical house and car work, are both SAE & metric sets necessary?

It really depends on what vehicles but I say yes. I've got a truck that has both on it. Maybe would be better off with some from Harbor Freight or something. Assess your needs of what you'll be using them for and perhaps a different set with more tools in one would be better.

I really like the price, but I'm the kind of guy who'd probably round off points. So I'm gonna hold out for a 6-point wrench.

might be the lowest starter price without hot buy ive seen. The 32 piece set is just over 70 too which is also at a non hot buy probably the best price its been. Combine with the right coupons and you got yourself a great set at a great price. Having each of these sets and formally having multiples before giving them away definite great buys that I do not need lol

I always find myself using metric, even on some of the newer American cars. I've always liked the ratcheting end on these.

I grabbed the 32 piece set for 75 with $30 back in points about 6 months ago and that was a steal

Cars are all metric except a few trans drain plugs and rear differentials. 2012 cruze is using external torx and so are a few others for mis cb things

Most "new" cars are all metric, just to clarity.

I've seen these at $49.99 forever. This is the lowest price ever and is an incredibly good deal. Great ratcheting wrenches, also reversible by flipping it over.

Good item. I have been using these just about every day at my job. Haven't had an issue with them yet.
