SD Rebate sent back to sender - it could not be delivered as addressed

Sent the Slick Deals rebate for Dell.com last week , tracking status shows it is being returned. Not sure when I will get it again.

Your item was returned to the sender on June 18, 2017 at 10:21 am in ZIP Code 88500 because.

Mailed to below address as mentioned in the offer document.

I could tell without looking that the zipcode is wrong. I believe it is 88513. Do be sure to check your submission copy that is emailed to you.

Nope it is exactly as in my submission copy. 88513-0018

my rebate also came back 2 weeks ago... they deemed my envelope as package, so I had to resend it again... so, go figure... Frown

I dont think it will be weight. I paid for 4 oz First class package rate as USPS charges same price upto 4 oz (package was less than 1 oz).

I will update once I receive the package, wondering if it has anything with PO box full situation.

to be honest, with usps, no one knows. mine also had proper weight...

I know this is off topic but could anyone please provide me a sample UPC code that came on the Dell box. My dell box has bar codes on the side but that doesn't look like retail UPC codes. The bar codes on the side shows only Service Tag #, Order # and PO#.

Looks like this has a high chance of getting denied.

Mine was also returned to sender but the post office never actually sent it back to me. It went back to my regional postal center then it looks like they tried to resend to El Paso. This is my first slickdeal rebate. A friend to referred me to the site years ago laughed at me when I mentioned the deal with the sd rebate. He chuckled and said those never show up.

I'm feeling like he may have been right. I've contacted sd so we'll see. I'll post the outcome.

Unfortunately, we have no control over USPS services, but if you can PM me your rebate tracking number or email at rebates@slickdeals.net, we will look into your case, and will recommend what is best in your situation.

The saga continues. I still haven't received my rebate and I can't track the status. I try clicking the link in the email but page won't load. This does seem like a system designed to make it very difficult to actually claim your rebate. I'll keep trying and keep you all posted. Dell did indicate that I could call them if there was a problem with this so I may have to go that route. This isn't easy and I don't think I'd do it again.

We see 2 tracking numbers for the same rebate. You are probably trying the wrong rebate claim number. I will PM with the right tracking number. Please check.

Depends on the size and mailing material. Was it bukky thatca letter cant slide thru a template for letter thickness? Odd shape? Way to many factors to guess. Usps will first go thru w automatiin and a reader. If that messrs up, itll be pulled and hand thrown then off it goes or it goesvto mark up by a person. This? The turnaround is quick. Machine or someone caught something and boom, back it goes. Something is amiss here and a valid address is key. Did the sender recall the letter? Did the pobox renter pay its unit fees? Businesses get holds and often get closed. Human error at any step of the process? Is the letter mislabled? ???? SD seems to have that little something extra going on w its rebates and a pm is needed, sometimes... I try not to do SD rebates, often.
Cant wait to find out the problem

Just wanted to post an update. I'm still trying/hoping to get my rebate from back in July. Slickdeals has been good about replying when I make an inquiry but still I don't have my rebate. I'll post if/when I receive it. I've been keeping track of all communication/documentation so we'll see. A customer service rep at Dell did say I could email her directly if I ended up being denied rebate. I'm still kind of in limbo so I don't think Dell will help until I'm officially denied.

This has become a labor of love. I will see it through to the end.

I received notification that my rebate has been approved. earthian was very helpful in getting this resolved. Follow the instructions, communicate with sd when needed and you should be fine.
