I don't see any mention or details of this deal with the link provided.

Nevermind, had to click onto the trade page. http://www.gamestop.com/trade

Awesome. $1.70 instead of $1 for AAA games. tu

But really... could make some credit if a game is on a deal and you buy bulk, then trade in.

Eh, most of my vita games will only go for $5-8 a piece. After said and done bonuses looking at about 70 ish for 8 games. Would probably be better to try and sell the vita and games on a swap site

Definitely some opportunity here. I got more than the going rate for a handful of games... Doom, Bioshock Collection, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pikmin 2 all went for $25-$35

Just a heads up the GameStop near me doesn't take the Xbox 360 Kinect or Kinect games either. The guy in front of me had a kinect and the employee said they'd just throw it away in the back so I asked if I could have it and they gave it to me. Not sure if this is the case everywhere but it sounds likely

Some people on Reddit claiming to have made hundreds of dollars off this.

One person even said they have a lifetime ban from trading in to GameStop now.

But It's not cash, you're getting store credit. Now you have to spend it at their shitty store. Ugh. You can actually get 6 games new at BB with GCU and trade them in for about $120 profit. Rinse and repeat to get more trade in credit.

You're still spending real money to get in store credit at GS though..

There are many ways to convert the credit to cash and make more than the credit is worth, such as using the credit on buy 2 get 1 free promos and buying 3x copies of Zelda or Mario Kart, they end up being $33 each and you can sell locally for $40 instantly.

what? 30-35 on each game and my time is more valuable than 2 bucks in real cash. You should use the credit to buy southwest gift cards and/or trade for best buy credit that sells a lot easier than gamestop if you need real money.
