Although it's supposedly wool, $150 for a lower tier Macy's suit doesn't seem particularly hot.

There are definitely lower tier suits in terms of quality of fabric and fit. Bar III wool suits are actually not that bad. With minimal tailoring you can have a good looking suit for less than $200 which I would consider to be a good deal. These generally go for $70 - $100 more than this, so I am not sure why you would view this as not hot.

Where are you buying wool suits that look this good and fit this well for less than $150?

$150 does not seem like a *particularly hot* price for this suit. (I never said it was not hot.) Bar III suits pop up on SD for less occasionally, so wait unless you really need this suit.
As a burner/workhorse suit, $150 isn't bad at all. With it being a dark navy and wedding season, I could see someone snagging this as a groomsmen outfit too. Anyone who buys this, please do yourself a favor and get it tailored before you wear.

I got the same suits about 2 years ago, it was $120 for each set (AC). Looks sharp and slim fitting. FYI the suits will not arrive hemmed and will require alterations.

These are separates. The description says "finished hem."

I meant the pants will be unhemmed, at least that is how they were when I went to pick them up. It's not uncommon for pants to come unhemmed when you buy as a set.

For comparison, this cobalt blue suit went over pretty well on here recently, and it is not nearly as versatile. Also it was a 52% wool/48% poly blend, much cheaper looking and less breathable fabric. It was cheaper by $23 ($127) but I would pay double the extra money for 100% wool exterior and navy versus cobalt. Just my 2 cents.

These are separates, they are not a set. The pants will be hemmed (obvious from the fact that the pants have waist and length measurements,) though I still recommend that anyone wanting to look good in a suit take it in and have it tailored. It's usually a relatively small amount of money but makes a huge difference in the look and feel.

Well, you are not wrong to assume that, but this one is a notable exception, punches well beyond its price bracket, minimal tailoring required and the quality of the materials is pretty great too and yes it is 100% wool. It is actually a decent buy at $200 too, at $150 it is a no-brainer.

Keep in mind Bar III is one of the slimmer fitting suits that Macy's carries. If you generally have a more athletic build, it may be a good idea to run to a Macy's and try on some stuff (or hope that they have this sale in store as well).

$150 for a wool suit is a hell of a deal, even if you need a few alterations to get it to fit better, especially if you're like me and only need to wear the suit 2 or 3 times a year.
