Looked around on SD but didn't see a post for it. Seemed like a good deal as the SPX4001 model rarely goes on sale and Amazon still has is listed for ~$195. Picked one up today.

UPDATE: Amazon dropped its price to $149 as well NLA

That was the SPX4000, this is the SPX4001. I am sure there are minor differences, but the main difference is the hose reel. I have an extension so with ~50 ft, it helps to have the reel

Several reviews indicate that the hose reel is junk. Too bad, that seems like it would be a nice feature.

I feel better then since I got the 4000 model from BJ's last month.
For anyone who is deciding between this and gas, I've used a gas one to power wash vinyl siding, stone walkway/patios and it does a great job. The noise and amount of gas used is a pain. Used this electronic one...purrs like a kitten and only on when you hold the trigger. Even great for washing the car. It's 1 extra wire and you are hooked up to a hose anyway.

Pretty tempting...glad I have awhile to decide. Really wanted to pickup the 4000 but missed that deal...reviews on amazon indicate this isn't worth the extra money so I may just wait for the 4000 to come up on sale again...but waiting for more owners to comment first

BJ's has the SPX4000 (same product without the hose reel) routinely on sale for $129 with free shipping and no tax in many states. That's roughly $35 less in Washington state.

I think that's the older, non-reel model.

This is the newer model, of what you linked.

I'm not sure the exact differences but this newer one seems to be more compact, and has similar specs.

Thanks for letting me know, I checked BJ's earlier today when this deal popped up on my notifications and it said they were only available in store...now available online so I went ahead and ordered one (http://www.bjs.com/sun-joe-spx400..._cid=affil)

From what I've read on Amazon, the 3000 and 4000 models are pretty similar, but the 3000 is built more upright/with more weight up top so it isn't as easy to wheel around/move around, but it does have a little smaller footprint if space is an issue...but I believe power wise they are the same (also the 4000 has pressure select (so 2030psi or 1450psi) while the 3000 does not)

I'd keep trying, it showed out of stock for shipping and only available in store earlier, then allowed me to add it to my cart a few hours later. I just tried the link again that I posted and it's still showing available for me online and in store (although I don't have any stores around me)...good luck!
