About Instacart
Instacart offers full-service grocery delivery from popular local stores. Available online or with the handy Instacart app, customers can stroll the virtual aisles of their favorite stores, adding the products and brands they love to their carts. An Instacart shopper then carefully gathers the items – treating the customer's list as if it was their own by selecting the highest quality items such as ripe produce and fresh bakery goods. Also available for delivery: refrigerated and frozen foods, prepared meals, pet supplies, and household items. In some regions, Instacart is authorized to fulfill beer and wine orders as well. Customers can receive their order in as little as 1 hour or later in the day. They can also schedule delivery up to a week in advance. Instacart features a large selection of easy-to-use coupons. As an added perk, Instacart customers get access to promotions not available elsewhere, especially for new brands and specialty products.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The link doesn't work, which (in the case of Living Social) typically means that the offer is targeted. Instacart also has a very limited market [instacart.com]

For some reason the status link takes me to the main page - deal should be available to anyone just search for it, it wasn't targeted.

In my area the only store participating is Whole Foods. Deal should allow me to buy a stalk of celery (yes, I purchased the deal).

Anyone know how their prices are compared to self-shopping?

A lot of the descriptions have language from Groupon as well. Almost seems like LS was acquired by them?

The prices are definitely more than what you would pay at the store.

Yes if you order more then you will be charged extra. Do keep in mind that you need to meet the minimum which is $35 to get the stuff shipped for free.

Yes you can tip the person through the app or when he/she comes to deliver it.

Note to everyone who is ordering: When you are ordering it from the store there is a default 10% service charge which you can set to 0 and tip the shopper i.e. the person who comes to bring your groceries.

Check this article regarding the service fee details. https://www.recode.net/2017/2/20/...ontroversy

Costco prices seem to be 10-20% more expensive than in store...

LV was Groupon's major competitor until they acquired them recently
