Disney Infinity Gold Collection $14.99 on Steam

I saw the entire Disney Infinity Gold Collection was listed on Steam at $14.99. This is a great value for the entire franchise including all games (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 Gold Editions) with all content such as every character, playset, and power disc unlocked.

Be careful not to buy the individual games as they are currently $7.49 each for the first two and $14.99 for the third. The real value is buying the whole collection at just $15. As Disney servers are no longer up for this game as of March 2017 there is no online support or downloadable community created toyboxes, just local gameplay.

EDIT: Each game is single player only. Also the following is NOT included in Disney Infinity 3.0 Gold Edition (Finding Dory Playset, Marvel Battlegrounds, Time, Alice, Mad Hatter, Nemo and Dory) as production on PC had ended in January 2016. -thanks megazone23

Um, isn't Infinity dead and they aren't supporting the servers anymore? Isn't that why all the characters have been clearanced everywhere for the last 3-4 months and they can't sell them?

Edit: After some looking, they have basically crippled the game - the released gold versions unlock everything, but eliminates all multiplayer and sharing in the toybox section. So I guess it would be good for single-player only for kids that shouldn't be on the internet.

So everything is playable except the online portion? You can play local co-op? What kind of performance does the pc demand? Does it play on laptop with integrated video chipset?

The franchise is dead for any new content and servers were shut down back in March. A big draw to the game was the community created Toy boxes, which are no longer available. But between the three games and playsets there is a ton of content here. Creating your own toy boxes can be fun, and even my six year old has a blast doing so to this day on console. If you are new to the series this is a great way to get into it as there is a lot to enjoy here especially with all the characters and playsets.

Local co-op is supported and a lot of fun with Xbox controllers supported. The games are not that demanding. Per their site posting the third game requires the following.

Minimum:
OS: Windows Vista / 7 / 8
Processor: 2.2 GHz Dual-Core CPU
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 560 / ATI Radeon HD 5600 1 GB
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 15 GB available space

Recommended:
OS: Windows 10
Processor: 2.40 Ghz Intel Core i7-4700MQ
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 960 GTX 2 GB
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 15 GB available space

Thanks for posting this. Just to confirm, this Gold Collection contains 100% of all figures, all playsets (such as Finding Dory and Marvel Battlegrounds for 3.0 which are not specifically listed?), and all power discs? I know the OP says that but I want to make sure there are no exceptions.

While I already have everything on consoles, and I USED to have the free versions of each Infinity with all the characters unlocked from the codes, Disney heartlessly disabled that so the free software no longer works. Apparently Steam had the versions for free for a long time, but jacked the prices up by the time I found out. Still those ones did not come with the figures and I'm not sure if the web codes ever worked on the Steam version.

So my understanding (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is the only way to play this game going forward on the PC is to have the Steam versions. I feel like Disney is ripping me $15 because I already had all of this on the PC, but I might still buy it if I'm sure it's 100% complete and if there are any assurances that Disney won't pull the functionality on the Steam versions in the future. Frankly it's often more convenient to use the always-on PC than to turn on a console, load the software, and dig out the figures.

The page says sale is good through 7/5, so it appears to be part of the Steam Summer and should last for a long time. However, as a long term SD user, I will say that super popular deals can sometimes run out of licenses or keys, so I often wonder if I can ever count on anything being available. Do people think we can safely wait on this or is this jump on it now before Steam/Disney changes their mind or runs out?

Can you confirm co-op in all of these? I am interested but see a bunch of old posts on Reddit / steam reviews about the lack of offline co-op in the PC release. Been burnt on this stuff before when I just assumed it was for everything (Diablo 3) so just a little extra cautious.

I can confirm that local 2 player co-op has always been in every Infinity version on every Infinity platform. You can always do the split screen and have 2 characters doing whatever at the same time. It's the online multiplayer and toy boxes that are gone.

Speaking of that, can someone who owns the Gold Edition tell me if it comes with any pre-built toy boxes or is it totally empty where you can only randomly generate or build your own (which you can't share)?

A family member's favorite toy box was the castle in Infinity 1.0 which was only on consoles and not the PC version. I was sad it was impossible to get that on a PC because it was an official toy box.

On the PC I have only ever played the base game of each of these. They may still be free on the Windows Store but lack all of the extra content and required several extra pricey purchases to get it all. The Gold versions are advertised to contain all of the characters and playsets that you would have to otherwise pay for. I had read somewhere power discs were included as well, but can't site a source. From the description of the Gold version of 3.0 it lists:

All Disney Infinity 3.0 Playsets Unlocked:
- Twilight of the Republic
- Rise Against the Empire
- The Force Awakens
- And More...

All Disney Infinity 3.0 Characters Unlocked:
- Rey
- Yoda
- Chewbacca
- Han Solo
- Darth Vader
- Hulkbuster
- Ultron
- Iron Man
- Olaf
- All Disney Infinity 1.0 Characters
- All Disney Infinity 2.0 Characters
- And More...

I'll try and load the games tonight and see what is/isn't included and post back tomorrow if someone hasn't done so by then.

All other PC version you won't be able to play anymore, including Windows Store, Standalone and the old Steam versions. Those requires logging into Disney's server, which doesn't exist any more, to get which characters or playsets your have unlocked (or purchased). I have all the figures for consoles which unlocked everything in all PC versions, but couldn't play that one anymore because server is gone.

The Gold version does not require Disney server because it comes everything unlocked. $15 is a great deal if you haven't played it before but I'm not going to pay anymore for what I have already owned but got stolen from me.
PC Version doesn't have Marvel Battlegrounds and Nemo playsets, and any new characters after March 2016 as Disney has never made them available on PC.

Good info that would belong in a Wiki. I also like how you say STOLEN FROM ME because that's exactly how I feel since I had everything too 100%. I never had a chance to enter the last set of figures and playsets before Disney took Infinity PC down which you confirmed were never included anyway on the PC.

Could you do me a little favor since you know a lot and I don't know the release dates without a lot of research... could you list what is missing besides the ones listed below from this Infinity Gold Collection?

Finding Dory, Marvel Battlegrounds, Time, Alice, Mad Hatter, Nemo, Nick Wilde, and Judy Hopps.

Unlike you, as offended as I am by having my PC Infinity collection stolen too, since a certain young family member loves Infinity, I may hold my nose and pay the $15 as it will simplify my life not having to turn on the console most of the time. The PCs are always on and ready.

Thanks. megazone23 answered a lot of it, but I guess you could confirm what else is missing besides what I listed in bold above (unless he or someone else does so first).
