AMAZON has the AUKEY AC-LC2 Action Camera [amazon.com] with 4K/25fps resolution and 170° wide angle lens, currently rated the #1 New Release in Sports & Action Video Cameras for $59.49 after 15% coupon - redeemable on the page.

For the specs, seems very good value. Appears that this is the lowest it's ever been...

Wish I could find more information on the image sensor and processor in the camera.

I know the AUKEY DR-01 dashcam uses the Sony Exmor IMX323 for the Image Sensor and the NT96655 for the CPU with a similar 170° FOV. But the Action Cam can do 4k at 25fps and 1080p at 60fps, while the dashcam maxes out at 1080p/30. So, is this action cam better specced than the dashcam?

Also how does it compare against the $199 YI 4k running the Sony IMX377 image sensor on an Ambarella A9SE75 CPU, which btw, comes with EIS - electronic image stabilization, which appears to be missing from this AUKEY...

What is the advantage of this camera over the cheaper $37 F60R?

24 mo. vs 12 mo. warranty. AUKEY generally has a decent reputation. And I don't see the F60R for $37. Currrent price on Amazon seems to be $61. Camel reports that the lowest it's been is $54.

It's not on Amazon, but I also looked at this. Not sure about the reputation of the retailer though. Which one would be a better deal?

One of the things that I have heard about the sensor that the F60R cameras use (SONY IMX179) is that they do not do 1080p 60fps. It records 30 fps and duplicates the frames to make a 60fps output. Same for the picture's megapixel count. The SONY IMX179 natively supports 8.08M effective pixels [sony-semicon.co.jp] but the camera advertises itself as an 16MP unit. and FWIW, this sensor is not even meant for dedicated camera applications - sony says they only support it for use in cellular phone and tablet PC.

Wish I knew what sensor was in the AUKEY action cam.

Thanks for the reply. I am considering getting an inexpensive action cam to play with, and I cannot find much info about this Aukey one.
