Weber Genesis II SE410 $749 in-store only *YMMV*

Ace Hardware has $200 off the Weber Genesis II SE410 grill (propane or natural gas)
their normal price is $949. Now $749 IN STORE ONLY
Pretty slick price imho.

I'm in Chicago burbs - the Ace Hardware stores near me also offer free assembly and free delivery, which is nice perk.

The price online still shows $949 http://www.acehardware.com/produc....111904526 so this seems to be in-store price only.

Not sure if the $200 off is nationwide - but it is definitely that price at several Chicago-area Ace Hardware stores.

YMMV.

Thanks!

Was it just the 410 on sale or other models too? Thanks!

from what i saw, only the SE410 is discounted (the one with stainless steel grate and burner covers)

The S 410 (with cast iron) is still normal price of $899 - and none of the other models were discounted.

I love my Weber (besides the grate gaps being to big).

Their customer service is also awesome. Had a cracked part (probably happened during move) and they sent replacement the same week.

Nothing. It's worth every penny at $750, though.

Called around in VA and no-go on the discount. I may try a few more places later though, for good measure.

Haha nobody really knows, but it's weird cooking $60 steaks on a $150 grill! Being able to leave it out for years at a time and not rusting in the slightest is nice too Smilie

Good price. Personally, I would want a sear burner if I was going to shell out all that money on a new Weber gas grill.

It seems you need the LX to match the old sear station feature of the previous generation and those are very pricey.

Is that really true?

My semi-decent grill is *covered* and it still rusts. Mad

Maybe I'm in the minority but I much prefer my genesis closed design than the genesis 2's open one. Looks like you have to upgrade to the lx to get a cabinet. WTF.

I have a Weber 210 series that's been uncovered in direct sun/snow/hail in Colorado and zero signs of rust after 3 years in my ownership and it wasn't new to me! I got it for $40 at a garage sale. Always lights first click, pretty insane the quality difference in build imo

Does the non-rusting include the grates? That's my main gripe about mine, but maybe this is normal? I've only had it for two years and am far from a grilling pro.

If you say so... Seems like it doesn't have any bells or whistles. Is it because its stainless or can do natural gas and propane or...?

OK, fair enough. So now its like I'm asking why a RADO worth a grand, when a casio works for 1/10 the price. I digress. lol

Yeah the grates are flawless.. They're quite heavy/thick. I usually scrub them with a bristle brush when they're hot so always good to go the next time I throw something on. And cleaning while everything is hot takes like 2 seconds instead of having to scrub off the grit when it's dry
