Lowe's has several Whirlpool Over-the-Range microwaves on sale for Black Friday prices w/ free shipping or store pickup. Head over here for a coupon to sweeten the deal. You can also pickup 4% cashback via Giving Assistant and another 5% if you pay with your Discover card (home improvement category ends 6/30). Better yet, maybe you picked up some GCs at 20% off from PayPal Digital Gifts a couple weeks ago. Wink Alternately, Home Depot and Best Buy seem to be running the same sale on these models, but their coupons are not as easily attainable.

Whirlpool 1.7-cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave (Stainless Steel) [lowes.com] - $169.00 - $20/100 coupon = $149.00

Whirlpool 1.9-cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking Controls (Stainless steel) [lowes.com] - $199.00 - 10% coupon = $179.10

Whirlpool 2-cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking Controls (Stainless steel) [lowes.com] - $229.00 - 10% coupon = $206.10

Note that the 1.9/2.0 cu ft models have non-stick interiors, whereas the 1.7 has a standard white interior.

Price decent, but no giveaway. Each size has same 1000 watt output, each with sensor technology (reads steam in cavity), why buy larger unit, unless you are doing whole Turkey or.....whatever.

BTW funny how no one plugs these into a surge protected outlet. One of the reasons a MW can/will die Young.

They only make sense if microwave is combined with the range hood in one unit.

Agreed. I ended up with the 2.0, but only because I got it for $129 (price of the 1.7 - $40 for customer satisfaction at local store).

Doesn't every OTR microwave have an exhaust fan these days? I haven't found one without one.

Thanks for posting this, I got one for our rental and used the link you provided to get a coupon from the forum, my first foray over there. The coupon thing is confusing, but the folks that are supporting it are really great and helped me get a code in short order. I love this site!
