Amazon [amazon.com] has The Hobbit Trilogy - Extended Edition Blu-ray for around $43 + free shipping. According to product details, the blu-ray is region free but the UV version is UK only.

"Extended Edition"? Extended to three movies wasn't "extended" enough? Ugh.

Looks like excellent pricing though, particularly for a 3D set, which is worth mentioning in the description here.

EDIT: Probably also worth mentioning it isn't the US version.

UK import, no included extras, negative reviews state different regions included in the releases (1 and 2) and not being able to play in players...I'd stay away

Good movies... Legolas turning into a invincible Ninja was the only weak part about PJ's version.

That is why I still refuse to see it. Still remember reading the book in the late 60's ...liked it, prepped me for LOTR (need a deal on extended version of these) but no way did The Hobbit deserve this overblown treatment.

True, but if you google for the Bilbo Edition, you will get an edited version that's very worth watching. It's just right to own the blu-ray legally if you want to download that one..
