I've owned a OnePlus One, and a OnePlus 3...I will gladly buy another OnePlus phone once they have:

IP68 Waterproofing
QHD

I lost my OnePlus One to a water incident...and saw how awesome waterproofing was when my friend brought his SGS8 to the waterpark. For someone who is outdoors a lot, I just can't live without this feature now that it's available by other flagship brands.

Unfortunately, I think OnePlus is losing it's way a little bit trying to be an iPhone clone with the OP5. Was it really necessary to overhaul the camera so much and raise pricing into the flagship spectrum? I'm betting OnePlus missed the mark with the 5

I got mine on Friday. Unfortunately it does not do LTE on Verizon. Ended up selling it on eBay. At least I didn't lose any money.

OPO was a really great deal, given the $299/$349 price. No phone at that price range came anywhere close to matching it.

OP2 wasn't much of a step forward and had some issues.

OP3/3T was a good phonce, but with all the BOGO deals going on, OP lost its status as a "value king."

OP5 is just too expensive, especially for a 1080p screen. When you canpick up a brand new GS8 for $425, it makes no sense to pick up a OP5 for this amount. Plus, OP has repeatedly shown that it breaks its own promises regarding support for 2 years.

1080p screen, no micro sd card support, chinese startup company for close to/over $500? Id rather wait for a current flagship to drop in price. the second has been an extremely important feature on all my android phones since the htc rezound. Hell even my Blackberrys had this feature in 2006. Ill stick to my s8 which i got for $425 and type case for $10. My previous phone the lg v20 was also an excellent phone.

I personally hate Samsung and their bogged down TouchWiz UI. Something to consider as well as price and specs.

How did you get the S8 for $425? Maybe, I missed the sale. I'm with T-mobile if that matters.

Sure. Samsung has way less smooth software, but their hardware features (best screen tech, superior image processing, microSD, wireless charging, water resistance, etc) and bleeding edge LTE connectivity (4x4 MIMO) are totally worth it for most people, especially with all the recent BOGO offers. If you are still rooting/modding software, then clearly One+ or Pixel is the better alternative.

It was a whole trade-in thing, where you could get it for that price

And, sorry OPO, you're not special enough to be charging this much.

I had an one plus 3t sold it and bought a s8 plus in bogo deal. And i paid $300 to get it. The one plus 5 is no way the $539 phone. I am skipping it.

Probably the trade-in offer: http://www.samsung.com/us/trade-in/

The unlocked variant is 100% compatible with T-Mobile, even WiFi calling and VoLTE.

Or previous BOGO deals.
