DynaTrap Insect Trap 1/2 acre $69.99 at Costco

Costco.com has the DynaTrap Insect Trap 1/2 acre coverage for 69.99. Free shipping: Costco.com [costco.com]

I got it from my local Costco for the same price, and it came with two replacement bulbs, I would think online does as well. This is the cheapest I've seen for a 1/2 acre trap since I started looking for one a couple of months ago, and price history shows cheapest in past year was around $80.

Amazon seller currently has it at $97.99: Amazon.com [amazon.com]

They actually do work on mosquitos. Mine is jam packed full of them weekly, it doesn't seem to cut down on the ones that bite me though.

I think the mixed reviews are based on expectations. It doesn't immediately clear out or fend off mosquitoes, but instead attracts them and traps them. New mosquitoes are constantly breeding so the instructions do say it takes 6 weeks to cover the entire life cycle and clear out an area. Ideally these go up in Spring and stay on continuously. Hope it works as well as some reviewers have said.

Picked up this deal at Costco this weekend. As a caveat, the finish is more of a tan plastic and is not metallic (like the pictures appear to be - albeit that's what the box looks like). I've had varied results based on where I place the device in my backyard. Basically, keep moving it around until you reach the optimal location. Mine grabs lots of mosquitos (and other bugs), but time will tell if it makes a difference. Box states about 6 weeks to see full results. Benefit of Costco is that I'll return if I don't see a difference by then.

Did you put it outside or was yours inside, too?

Got one of these early this week. The instructions say to plug it in 20 feet from the house but comes with a 10 foot cord. Where did people who tried this mount it?
